Since 1912, the Oakland Municipal Band has been presenting free concerts at Lakeside Park in the heart of Oakland, California. It is one of the oldest musical organizations in the United States.
This legacy site needed an update to bring it into the current century. I redesigned the site and added functionality to allow client edits, donations, add a history page and mobile friendly views. We also wanted to increase page rank. The site serves visitors with band information, schedule and location of concerts.

Working on websites that serve the local community is a special interest of mine. I have been involved in several projects that are local to Oakland, CA. Fostering local organizations is a way to participate locally. Involvement in local matters strengthens our city.

I don't often use my own photos in the websites that I create, but this one just called for some that I had taken earlier in the season. I was able to work with one of them to integrate a site description.
